Ifeanyi pascal Agu, born in Enugu Nigeria, has family roots in udi lga of Enugu state. He’s a Christian musician, singer, songwriter, speaker, entrepreneur and most recently a politician. Call him Jack of multiple trades and master of them all; he fits well into the picture. He’s definitely multi talented.
Growing up in church all his childhood and youth life definitely instilled a very strong sense of God’s calling and direction in him. He’s known by close friends and family members as a very passionate person and he prayerfully demonstrated his passion in his daily Christian walk right from his early days as a teenager. He took on music naturally because he had an unbridled passion to touch lives and consequently saw music as an avenue to achieve that goal. He is best known for his song Jedidiah which speaks typically of the evergreen story of God’s unconditional and unrivaled love for fallen man and is fondly called by same name (though differently spelt) – Jedidaya, by most of his fans, friends and admirers.
Ifeanyi(Jedidaya) has been around the gospel music circles from his early teens and has worked with several choirs and churches over two decades and still counting. He has served in a few churches in His locality (Enugu), from The Amazing Love assembly, to The Resurrection Force Ministries, where he got the unusual opportunity to express himself on the microphone and the keyboard week-in, week-out, as he was an integral part of the undoubtedly most gifted, most promising music ministry in the east of the Niger then, called The Ever-Magnetic Music Ministry. While in his teens he got the chance to minister with The Evermagnetic music team at the state government house, on national television programs, on crusade grounds, before mammoth crowds and important personalities as well. His passion drove him to sing in university campus halls, lecture rooms, in buses, street corners where he would spontaneously gather crowds of music lovers who would stop to listen to something somewhat strange coming from this boy and his favorite singing partner, chimaroke. He normally would turn those singing sprees into short preaching sessions just to pass the message of God’s love.
He moved on after graduation from the prestigious University of Nigeria Nnsukka to become a founding member of House on the Rock Enugu, The Word house, where he served in the music ministry too for 8 years and along the line rose to become the music director of the prestigious City of David, undeniably another best assemblage of music maestros in Enugu till date.
Ifeanyi draws his ministerial mandate from one of several divine encounters, which affords him the privilege of drawing down the manifest presence of God in the place of prayer and worship.
He teaches and directs not just music but worship and prayer as a lifestyle and duty. He has exerted such passion and influence in several churches where he has had the opportunity to serve as time permits. He has had the honor and privilege to be part of The kings Chapel, The Revival Wave Assembly, and Saving Nations Church.
He currently worships with The House of Generals International Churches, with the headquarters in Maryland, Enugu, in Enugu State where he also resides and works with his local government as a Development Centre Administrator.
Finally, Ifeanyi sees no bridge between secular and sacred, as he grabs and uses every opportunity to reach his immediate and far-away world with God’s glorious praise and wisdom.
He strongly opines that as God’s immortal love consumes your mortal being, then you should let it show in your work, business, career, friendships and family. We should wear His love like a favorite tuxedo
